A Clean Heart in a Dirty World

Purity of heart is an inner work of God at the core of who we are, because our hearts are naturally deceitful and cannot be made clean by outward appearance or rule-keeping alone. Jesus gives a new heart and continues purifying us through transformed thinking, obedient living, and Christian community, so that while our vision of God is partial now, one day it will be fully clear because we will see him as he truly is.
