october is pastor appreciation month
We all love Tom and Julie and do say thanks throughout the year, but now we get a chance to bless them above and beyond as they lead our church.
Beginning this Sunday in the front lobby, you'll find a gift basket. Please bring a card filled with your words of appreciation and encouragement. Feel free to add a gift card or other gift if you desire.
If you do want to give a financial gift, you may give it directly in your card or for tax purposes, you can give it through the church by designating "Pastors’ Appreciation" on your check, cash envelope. To give online, click here, choose Tithe and Offering, and in the memo, note “Pastors’ Appreciation.
The basket will be presented to Dr, Tom & Julie on Nov 2nd!
So would you take a few minutes, pray over the Johnsons and ask God how He would have you bless them? Don’t diminish the power of your words “Thank you”, “I appreciate you”, “God used you to show me…” It may seem little, but quite often, it’s the cards and words that are held dear and read again and again.

November Sermon series
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
If you have packed shoebox(es), please bring them during the "Shoebox Packing Party", which will be held on Saturday, November 1st, at 12 noon. This is the deadline for shoeboxes to be turned in. During the shoebox packing party, we will ensure that each box is fun, full and prayed over. Each box collected will need to have a $10.00 check accompanying to help offset the shipping costs. Any collected items found on the link below can be brought to the "OCC" green barrel in the front lobby at MCS. Then, on November 1st at 12 noon, we'll all meet and have a Packing Party kick-off to include snacks, music, fellowship and to pack the shoeboxes! Note: Manna Sanford will even provide the boxes!
NOTE: The deadline to have all items for the Operation Christmas Child boxes are to be onsite and ready to pack by Saturday, Nov 1st at 12 noon. Also, a $10.00 check must be included with each box. Checks (strictly no cash) should be written to "Samartian's Purse" and on the memo line please notate "Operation Christmas Child". This $10.00 is critical to cover project costs involved in collecting, processing, and shipping your shoebox gifts to over 170 countries.
